CARRY ON ALICE

Cape Town – Sean Tarry-trained Carry On Alice is the highest merit-rated of the 15 declared for the Grade 1 Betting World Cape Flying Championship over 1000m on J&B Met Day at Kenilworth on Saturday 30 January.

S’manga Khumalo’s mount has losses to recover after starting favourite for last Saturday’s Grade 2 Sceptre Stakes and managing only fifth. She is drawn at No 10 and, with the inside riding marginally faster, the low numbers probably have the best of the draw.

The Mike de Kock-trained Kingston Mines, who will again be ridden by champion Gavin Lerena, has to give weight all round in his bid to win the Grade 2 J&B Jet Stayers over 2800m for the second year running.
