The first entries for this season’s Cape Town Met closed on Wednesday and 19 horses were nominated for this Grade 1 race over 2000m at Kenilworth on Saturday 29 January.
But it is as good a 19-horse field that can be assembled!
They are all there – Do It Again, Rainbow Bridge, Jet Dark, Kommetdieding, Linebacker Malmoos and War Of Athena.
Add Russian Rock, Rascallion and Marina into the group and we potently have one of the best fields ever amassed for this R2 million race.
This race is run at weight for age terms and once again, the winner can lay claim to being the best middle-distance runner in the land.
The first supplementary entries close on Monday 20 December with final supplementary entries closing on 10 January after which the weights will be announced.
Declarations close at 11am on Wednesday 19 January. The draws will be made electronically by the NRB on the same day.
